THE PROGRAM:

  • QST was founded by Joanne Cook-Lepetit in 2010. Mrs. Cook-Lepetit is an award winning teacher with experience at all grade levels in our public, private and international schools.

  • QST is an organization geared to help students reach beyond their potential, thus building high self-esteem and succeeding in school at the A and B level.

  • This is a perfect program for homeschoolers and those students (K thru 12) struggling with certain subjects in local schools.

  • All teachers are licensed, experienced, and successful.

  • QST teachers work in student's homes or mutually agreed upon neutral sites.

  • Teachers follow the curriculum of the students being tutored, use effective instructional techniques, and build positive attitudes toward learning.

  • Instructional time is mutually agreed upon by the parent/guardian and QST.

  • Reasonable fees.

LEAD STAFF:

JoanneJoanne Cook-Lepetit – Executive Director and Lead Teacher; selected as the outstanding educator for Quality SchoolsInternational in Malta, Europe (2 years); nominated by parents as the Outstanding Educator in Colorado; AA from Ottumwa Height College in fine arts, AA from Aims College in Early Childhood Education, BA from the University of Northern Colorado in Elementary Education; 40 additional graduate hours in reading, writing, effective instruction, classroom management, manual communication, differentiated instruction, etc.; licensed through the State of Colorado with endorsements in elementary and middle school education; 22 years of experience in public, private, and international schools; co-author of numerous articles on effective education.

JohnJohn Lepetit – Consultant/Teacher; selected as the outstanding young educator in Iowa City, Iowa, recipient of theCandalaria and LULAC awards for contributions to the education of youth in Greeley; leadership award presented by the Loveland School District; nominated 2 years for the Spirit of St. John's International School award; honors BA from Rockhurst University; MA from the University of Iowa; 60 additional graduate hours in curriculum, effective instruction, supervision, classroom management; 35 years of experience teaching (math, social studies, English elementary through college) and administering at the elementary through high school levels in public, private and international schools; author.

JeffJeff Walthall – Director of Marketing/Teacher; currently serving as Recruitment Manager for Nursing Options in Ft. Collins; taught students ages 6 through college at Sylvan Learning Center in English, grammar, beginning reading, academic reading, writing skills, study skills, and ACT Prep; holds a Colorado license. Graduate of Hastings College with a BA in Business Administration, Journalism and English, with distinction in Journalism and English; also worked with students at UNC in the final stages of submitting theses and dissertations.
